One of my favorite activities to recommend to friends visiting Cape Town is taking the cable car up Table Mountain. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, you could also hike up and then take the cable car down. It is a weather-dependent activity, so definitely call ahead (+27 021 424 8181) and make sure the cableway is open to avoid disappointment. Grab your jacket (it can get chilly), a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers, and I can't think of a better place to sit back and enjoy a Cape Town sunset.
